This fall, attorney Michael D.
Kaufman is running for the office of Judge of the Sandusky Municipal
Court. The court serves the
communities of Sandusky, Perkins Township,
the Village
of Bay View and The
Village of Castalia. All
registered voters who live in these communities may vote in this election
to be held on November 6, 2007.
Michael is a 1989 graduate from Sandusky High School
and 1993 graduate from the University
of Toledo where he
earned a Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Criminal
Justice. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo,
College of law in 1997. He
has been a Partner in the Law Firm of Kaufman, Kaufman and Associates,
Co. L.P.A. since 1998. He has
been a prosecutor in the Sandusky Municipal Court since January of
2001. He has been the Village
Solicitor for Bay View Ohio since 2003
and the Prosecutor for the Village
of Kelley’s Island Ohio since
2004. Additionally, he has
served as an Independent Prosecutor for Ottawa County Ohio.
He has practiced law in every court in Erie County and has experience in all
of the surrounding counties.
He routinely practices in the Sixth District Court of Appeals in Toledo, Ohio
and has practiced before the Ohio Supreme Court and the United States
District Court, for the Northern District of Ohio.
Michael is married to Sarah Kaufman, (Schindley) and they live in Perkin’s
Township with their three children, Braden, Cameron and Reagan. Michael is uniquely qualified for
the position he seeks because of his vast experience in both public
service and private practice.
